Hello and welcome! I'm Katrice L. Mines, the creator of Of Sistren.
Of Sistren is a space for women to be renewed, inspired and emboldened. Born out of a personal desire for fellowship and community during the pandemic isolation, Of Sistren launched as a monthly, virtual gathering of women for conversation and enrichment, and it was like water in the desert. Women from around the country, at different points in their lifespans ... careers, space and time met to compare notes about life and womanhood, and though we are not a monolith, our points of intersection created a space for discovery and healing, and ultimately challenged each of us to stretch. Those quaint but powerful meetups further evidenced for me something I've always believed: women need women. And it goaded me to develop a more dynamic space to lift women up while also empowering us in our pursuits. Of Sistren is for you because though our lives are unique, we likely have more in common than what makes us differ.
